5G vs. your current bill
The monthly number on a cable bill is rarely the number you were quoted. Here's what changes when the internet arrives over the air instead of down a wire.
| T-Mobile 5G Home Internet | Typical cable / DSL | |
|---|---|---|
| Getting connected | Ships to your door — plug it in yourself in minutes | Technician appointment, often a half-day window |
| Contract | Month-to-month, cancel anytime, no termination fee | Frequently 12–24 months with an early termination fee |
| Equipment | Gateway included at no extra charge | Modem and router rental billed every month |
| Installation fee | None | Setup and activation charges are common |
| Data | Unlimited, with no overage charges | Caps and overage fees still appear on many plans |
| Price after year one | Base rate guaranteed for 5 years | Promotional rate expires and the bill steps up |
| What you actually pay | One rate, the same every month | Quoted rate plus equipment, fees, and surcharges |
| If you move | Take the gateway with you and plug it back in | Transfer fees, new install, possible new contract |
Speeds depend on the 5G signal at your specific address, which is exactly what a specialist confirms on the call before you order anything.
The order process
You give us a ZIP code and a number. We handle the coverage check, the plan comparison, and the order itself.
STEP 01
Tell us where you are
Send the form or call us directly — name, ZIP, and the best number to reach you. That's everything we need to get started, and it takes about fifteen seconds.
STEP 02
We do the legwork
We check T-Mobile's coverage for your ZIP code, confirm which of the three plans you qualify for, find any promotion you're eligible for, and place the order on the call with you.
STEP 03
Plug in the gateway
It ships free from T-Mobile. Plug it in, scan the code in the app, and move it around until you find the strongest signal. No tools, no drilling, no technician.
Common questions
No. 5G Internet Choice is operated by P50 Digital LLC, a T-Mobile Authorized Retailer. We sell and support T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, but we're a separate company. T-Mobile's own site is t-mobile.com, and you're welcome to order directly there instead — the plans and pricing are the same.
It doesn't. The form sends your details to a specialist, who checks T-Mobile's coverage against your ZIP code and calls you back with the answer. If you'd rather get it over the phone right now, call (855) 718-0854 and we'll look it up while you're on the line.
It's home broadband delivered over the same 5G cellular network your phone uses. A gateway in your house receives the signal from a nearby tower and broadcasts Wi-Fi indoors. Because nothing needs to be run to your house, there's no line to install and no technician appointment.
No annual contract and no early termination fee. Service is month-to-month. T-Mobile also offers a 15-day trial period on new home internet lines — if it isn't working for you, return the gateway within that window.
The base monthly rate for the plan you sign up on. Taxes, government fees, and any optional add-ons you choose aren't part of the guarantee and can change. It also assumes you keep the conditions that earned your rate — autopay and, if applicable, the qualifying voice line.
For most households, yes. In areas with solid 5G coverage, speeds commonly land in the 100–300 Mbps range, which handles 4K streaming, video calls, and a connected house comfortably. Speeds do vary with your distance from the tower and network congestion, so it's less predictable than a wired line. If you're a competitive gamer or upload large files daily, cable or fiber is usually the better call.
It goes to P50 Digital LLC and the licensed specialists who contact you about home internet service. We don't sell your information to unrelated third parties. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly who receives it and how to request deletion.
Take the gateway with you. As long as your new address is in a covered area, update the address on your account and plug it in at the new place. If the new address isn't covered, you can cancel without a termination fee since there's no contract.
Ready when you are
One call tells you whether T-Mobile 5G covers your address, what it costs with tax, and whether it's actually a better deal than what you have now.
